Industry roadmaps help chart the course for technology development and market evolution. In the past, several industries have undertaken to develop roadmaps. The Powder Metallurgy and Particulate Materials Industry—PM2—completed its own roadmap in September 2001. The roadmap was developed by support from the Department of Energy, the Metal Powders Industries Federation, industry leaders, and university and federal laboratory researchers. CISP researchers played a lead role in the roadmap content and development.
