Benefits of program
· Eight hours per week in seminars, discussion groups, industry tours, and social functions.
· Working approximately 32 hours per week on a specific research project.
· Development of effective research practices.
· Daily contact with faculty and graduate students.
· Industry contact - CISP has over 90 member companies spanning fabricators, equipment manufacturers, suppliers, and end product users.
· Gaining knowledge of the sintering process. Sintered products account for $23 billion/year in sales; the products tend to have functional attributes not affordable via alternative manufacturing routes, and they can be found in the automotive, rapid prototyping, commercial products, and sculpture reproduction.
