This
program will not be offered in 2004
.........This
ten-week summer research experience is focused around the intellectual
and interdisciplinary theme of innovative sintered products. Shaped powders
are bound via this thermal process to create innovative products for aerospace,
automotive, biomedical, sculpture reproduction, sporting equipment and
other applications. Even the eyeglass frames you wear are likely to have
been made by sintering of powdered materials.
