Powder-Polymer Processing Systems

This project seeks to develop powder-polymer processing systems where metal, ceramic and composite structures can be cast and machined prior to sintering. Studies will assess process capabilities for stainless steel for casting and machining. Powder and binder characteristics will be studied to determine their effects on processing. Additionally a sample part or die will be produced.
